CEU Course Description
In today's fast-paced world, students need more than just academic knowledge to succeed. They need power skills - a set of essential skills that empower them to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and adapt to change. This course is designed for teachers to explore the importance of power skills, gain a deeper understanding of the impact of power skills on student outcomes, and learn how to integrate power skills into their curriculum to prepare students for success in school and beyond. In this course, participants will learn about (1) the essential power skills that students need to develop, why they’re important, and their impact on learning outcomes; (2) effective strategies for teaching and assessing power skills; (3) the challenges and opportunities associated with teaching power skills in a diverse classroom; and (4) why power skills will continue to be significant in the future.
